Each Online store/Web shop gets a unique storefront which is fully editable and allows you to build your own branded area within Gilded E commerce Platform.

Vendors can link their storefront to their social channels in order to market themselves to their network. Vendors also have the opportunity to be featured in our edits, onsite features and across our social channels. They can also promote themselves on key category and homepages to drive traffic directly to their store (please see the What is promoting a Boutique section below).

Guidelines and code of conduct that all vendors should adhere

When you set up a Boutique you agree to comply with the terms, all applicable local laws regarding online conduct and this Code of Conduct which includes the following Gilded Marketplace policies which may be updated from time to time:

 Copy rights and intellectual property protection laws in the country
 Return and exchange policy of the The-gilded.lk(Please refer website section)
 Gilded Privacy Policy(Please refer website section)

You are solely responsible for your conduct and activities on your Online store. Your store and your use of Gilded Marketplace must not:

 be false, inaccurate or misleading

 be fraudulent or involve the sale of illegal, counterfeit or stolen items

 contain items that have been identified as hazardous to consumers

 include the sale or offer for sale of promotional codes for a Boutique or any GILDED Website

 be obscene, defamatory, libellous, unlawfully threatening, unlawfully harassing, impersonate or intimidate any person (including Gilded Group Pvt Ltd’s staff, Customer or other users)

 modify, adapt or duplicate Gilded Marketplace or modify another website to falsely imply that it is associated with Gilded Marketplace

 link directly or indirectly, reference or contain descriptions of goods or services that are prohibited under these Terms or other policy documents as posted on Gilded Marketplace

We recommend you use virus protection software when using any website, including ours. Although we have a dedicated team who work hard to stop users Issuing our Website, we can’t guarantee that it will always be secure from bugs, viruses or troublemakers. 

Inventory Management


 The vendor is obliged to maintain inventory of all Products featured on the Platform and update its true inventory through the Vendor back-end portal on a daily basis.

 In the event that the vendor reasonably anticipates that any Products sold on the Platform may go out of stock, it shall immediately update the inventory information in the back-end portal .

 If an out of stock Product is shown as in stock on the Platform due to the vendor’s inability to update the correct inventory information for that Product on the back-end portal and a Customer places an order for the Product, the order may be cancelled and the vendor may be penalized for breaching Platform Policies. 

Fees and Commission

Gilded guarantees to give its best efforts to make the vendors and their online stores grow in the e-commerce arena. To maintain our level of service gilded will charge the vendor the following scheme of commissions and fees.

Gilded Fulfillment center Utilization model:
This enables the vendor to hold their stock at our warehouse and gilded will act as a fulfillment center where as gilded will handle the storage and shipping of goods

25% from the total sales revenue
Consignment Basis partner model: This enables the vendor to handle the shipping , storage and returns of the goods and gilded will act as the platform that connects the vendor and the buyer 15% from the total sales revenue

Please Note that despite the level of partnership Gilded will invest on advertising and awareness campaigns in all marketing channels on a daily basis and will feature your store on Social media, Print media and Live media which will drive the sales volume of your store

Linking to this Website

Gilded will allow you to link your online store to any social media or other marketing platforms, as long as it is fair and legal, and doesn’t damage or exploit our reputation.
Our Website must not be framed on any other site without our permission. 

Interactions with customers & other vendors of the platform

You are solely responsible for how you interact with other users (whether customers or other store owners on the Website. Gilded Marketplace does screen its Users in order to keep the platform clean and offer the users a better selling/shopping experience. Despite this all Users agree to exercise caution and good judgment in all interactions.

On reasonable grounds Gilded Group Pvt Ltd may without notice, and without refunding any fees, delay or immediately remove Content, warn Gilded Marketplace's community of a User's actions, issue a warning to a User, temporarily suspend a online store, temporarily or indefinitely suspend a User's account privileges, terminate a User's account, prohibit access to the Website, and take technical and legal steps to keep a user off the Website and refuse to provide services to a User if any of the following apply:

 Gilded Marketplace suspects a User has breached these terms or other policy documents and community guidelines incorporated herein;

 use messages to interfere with a transaction, including:
Contacting / convincing a User to buy or sell an item listed on Gilded Marketplace outside of the Gilded Website (i.e. fee/commission avoidance);
oR
communicating with a User involved in an active or completed transaction to warn the User away from a particular buyer, store or item.

 Gilded Marketplace is unable to verify or authenticate any of your personal information or Content; and/or
 Gilded Marketplace believes that a User is acting inconsistently with the letter or spirit of Gilded Marketplace's Code of Conduct And/or these terms, has engaged in improper or fraudulent activity in connection with Gilded Marketplace or the actions may cause legal liability or financial loss to Gilded Marketplace's users or to Gilded Marketplace.
 use messages to knowingly harass, threaten, blackmail or abuse another User. 

Gilded Marketplace Disputes

In the event that a Vendor wishes to make a complaint against Gilded Marketplace or a customer concerning the Website or the services provided by Gilded Marketplace, or a customers behaviour the vendor can contact the support team via support@the-gilded.com or +94777077072.

Liability limit

Vendors/ Online store owners will not hold Gilded Marketplace responsible for any loss you may incur as a result of Gilded Marketplace taking any of the actions described in the Return and Exchange Policy, Terms of Use, Privacy Policy or Intellectual Property Policy above nor for other Users' actions or interactions, including, without limitation, things they post, items they list or their destruction of allegedly fake items.

Should you have a dispute with one or more Users, or an outside party, you release Gilded Marketplace (and its officers, directors, agents, subsidiaries, joint ventures and employees) from any and all claims, demands and damages (actual and consequential) of every kind and nature, known and unknown, suspected and unsuspected, disclosed and undisclosed, arising out of or in any way connected with such disputes.

In no event shall Gilded Marketplace, and (as applicable) its officers, directors, employees or suppliers be liable for any damages whatsoever, whether direct, indirect, general, special, compensatory, consequential, and/or incidental, arising out of or relating to the conduct of you or anyone else in connection with the use of the Website, Gilded Marketplace’s services, or these terms, including without limitation, lost profits, emotional distress, or any special, incidental or consequential damages.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the disclaimer of warranties or exclusion of damages, so such disclaimers and exclusions may not apply to you.
Nothing in these terms shall limit or exclude our liability for fraudulent misrepresentation, for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence or the negligence of our agents or employees or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

By using/signing up for Gilded Marketplace, you agree to comply with all applicable domestic and international laws and regulations regarding your use of the Website and any of the Website’s Features including the listing and sale of items via a Online Store in our platform.
